Generic Theofer XT (Iron/Zinc/Folic acid)

Common use

Theofer XT is prescribed to treat iron deficiency anemia and improve hemoglobin levels while providing bronchodilation for respiratory conditions such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The iron component helps replenish iron stores, and the theophylline component relaxes airway muscles to improve breathing.

Dosage and direction

Theofer XT is usually taken orally, once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. Take the tablet with water, preferably after meals to reduce stomach irritation. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions carefully.

Precautions

Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, heart disease, arrhythmias, ulcers, or hypertension. Monitor for signs of iron overload, palpitations, or gastrointestinal discomfort. Avoid taking other iron supplements simultaneously unless advised.

Contraindications

Drug interaction

Missed dose

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it is near the time of your next dose. Do not double the dose.

Overdose

Overdose may cause severe gastrointestinal irritation, rapid heartbeat, dizziness, or iron toxicity. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

Storage

Store Theofer XT at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and light. Keep tablets in the original container and out of reach of children.
